Introduction

Angus - Click to zoom in! Patchwork Acres is located in southwest Georgia. This is a family farm started by my husbands grandfather and passed down to his kids and grandkids. My husband and I, and now our son and his wife, moved down from north Georgia to care for the place and give it the TLC it deserves. Sure, we miss the foothills and mountain views of north Georgia, but this flat land is a nice trade in when your dream has always been to have a farm. Enjoying our horses, raising Fainting Goats, growing a garden, etc.. is so much easier down here than it was on the side of a mountain. :)

Abby & Macey - Click to zoom in! We have been raising Fainting Goats now for close to 7 years and we absolutely love the Myotonic breed! Kidding time is like Christmas. We wait on pins and needles just to see the little ‘presents’ our does will bless us with each time! Part of the fun is the surprising color combinations and markings you can get with the Fainting Goat breed. The worst part is, that you can’t keep them all and they will quickly steal your heart with their antics and personalities. Visit our Fainting Goats page to read about and see pictures of each special goat that makes up our herd here at Patchwork Acres.

Lilies on the pond - Click to zoom in! Please Visit our History page to read more about how our farm came to be what it is today, and if you are ever near the town of Albany, give us a holler and drop by. We really enjoy visitors. You can relax, sit in the swings, sip some lemonade, take walks on the country trails, saddle up a horse or two, do some fishing, pitch some horseshoes, and perhaps enjoy a nice evening around the firepit under the stars.

Being the true animal lovers that we are around here you’ll find many kinds of critters that we share our farm with. Alot of our time is spent caring for our furry friends. There is always a project to do as we dream up new ways to make them more comfortable and safe. We enjoy each and every one of them and it just wouldn’t be the same without them. Be sure to visit our Other Critters page to meet some of the furry family members in our lives.

Be sure not to miss our Photo Galleries where we’ve posted many of our favorite pictures. Thank you for visiting with us! We hope you enjoy it and come back real soon!
