I purchased Moon and shipped him from California, for the purpose of breeding him to Ballerina. Bianca is my prize for a lot of hard work! She is exactly why I did it all, and she doesn’t disappoint! Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she’s got the best personality you could ever ask for. She’s a snuggly kind girl, and even has a heart shaped moonspot on her jaw. She reminds me of her dam constantly, with her calm kind soft natured personality. I am so beyond thrilled to have her, and can’t wait to see her freshen! Her littermate brother Amore is also retained.

I was beyond excited when Ali kidded with 2 beautiful doe kids, and immediately called my husband out to look at them. “I’m keeping this one, she looks just like Ali!”
”The little powder puff?”
”Her name is going to be Starstruck, don’t call her Powder Puff!”
”Awww, nice to meet you little Puff!”
And so within a week I had started referring to her as Puff, and now here we are. Terrible man!
Puff went to her first show just for experience about 8 wks old. She pranced around the ring like she owned it, struck a pose, and puffed herself up at the judge to win 1st in all 3 rings. She’s an absolute ham, I’ve never met a goat who so loves to show off! But that’s perfect, because she’s going to be seeing a lot of judges!

The day after Rudy (2 Tone) arrived on transport from California, Flower came into heat. I was thrilled to be able to use him, and got 3 does and 1 buck from that breeding! I was too slow in my naming, and David struck again, calling her Muck Boots. I argued, and refused to call her that, but also failed to come up with anything else and she started coming when called. When I finally got the new ADGA system to work, I was registering them all and not waiting for a better name! So Muck Boots she became! But shortly after I started trying to come up with a barn name (I have a wether named Boots, and I’m not calling her Muck) She’s a talker, a very chatty little thing in a short little chirpy way, which has earned her the barn name of Duckie. She still comes to it, and it’s far preferable to Muck!
Her dam Flower is one of my favorite young does, with an absolutely stellar socked on udder. And she is a major producer. So I’m extra excited to add Duckie to the herd. She’s already growing wider and deeper than her dam at this age, so I’m thrilled to see what she grows into!

Dioneeta had been VERY stingy with her doe kids until 2021, when she blessed me with 3! I swore no retaining littermate sisters this year... so that’s why I only kept 2 sisters and not all 3! Diaphanous is a name I’d long ago picked for a Dioneeta daughter, and had just sat on for ALL THESE YEARS of bucks! So it was exciting to finally get my baby Diaphanous and her Wispy sister. Her barn name is Di, and besides being there when they were born you’d never guess she was related to Wisp! She’s short, extremely wide, very much a Sako daughter through and through. Wisp takes after Neeta’s side of the family, long and honestly gangly until they mature (this line includes Ballerina and Dido, both very gangly young does who matured out into the nicest does in my herd).
Im very excited about both Di and Wisp!

If you follow the Facebook page, you’re likely well aware of the long saga of the Wispy Nugget. She was born a tiny 1 lb 4 oz kid from quads. She crashed hard her 2nd day, and I thought for sure she wouldn’t make it. It took about 7 days of round the clock care to get her stabilized. But then suddenly she started eating and growing and maintaining her own body temperature (which is a big deal for the tinies!) She lived in the bathroom for probably 2 wks, her sister Di stayed with her as a cuddle buddy. She also became very attached to my collie Fiona, who she loves snuggling with, during that time.
She was very healthy, fat, and sassy until around 5-6 wks old when she developed a stomach bug of some nature and again tried very hard to die. Again constant aggressive treatment- with a successful cud transfer from my wether Boots being the big thing that turned her around. I tell her she’s the girl that Boots built!
She has flourished since, growing even bigger than Di now! She’s approaching 6 months old as of this writing and still getting a bottle at least once a day through the Sad Face and Bird Song approach, of which I have no willpower against. I expect she will be receiving bottles at 5 y.o. at the rate weaning is going.
But she has built herself into a bit a bit of a celebrity around here, everyone always wants to meet Wisp! She even served as the muse of a young Kenyan artist, who sent me a painting of her beautiful self. She adores being the center of attention, and is also quite the fan of selfies!

Time has long been a doe who LOVES to give triplet bucks, of 13 kids she’s only produced 3 does! This was her last kidding, she retired in 2021 due to age. So I was desperately hoping for a doe!
About 4 months pregnant Time suddenly went down and refused to eat. I treated aggressively, to no avail. She dropped weight like a stone, lost her color, laid down and intended to die. I expected every trip to the barn to find her aborted babies in the straw, if not her as well. I stayed up nights pumping her full of meds and drenches trying to keep her alive. It’s been her first ever illness, she’s long been one of my hardiest does who stays fat on air and never needs wormed! It was so hard watching my ‘barbwire and nails’ tough doe just totally given up. After about a week I noticed her licking hay, unwilling to eat it, but licking up the little leaf crumbles and swallowing them. On a hunch I loaded her for a 2nd trip to the vet- and found 5 dead/loose/broken molar teeth in a row. The guess is some kind of injury, probably from fighting her way to Herd Queen. The vet didn’t think she’d live with her body condition and age, wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to get her eating again, and told me to prepare for the kids to be aborted at any time. I loaded her back up and we headed home, but stopped at a friends house with an ultrasound machine on our way. She hopped out of the car of her own accord, went to the nearest bale of hay, and began eating like she was STARVING! We stood there in total shock as she sucked down mouthful after mouthful of hay. After she calmed down we put her on the milk stand, where she scarfed grain with glee. And we ultra-sounded showing 2 babies, and we waited and waited, and they began to move! I cried all the way home while Time ate ravenously in the back. Not only did she live, she kept those babies alive through the whole ordeal! Absolutely miracle babies! The best mama ever!
There were born 4 days premature, small but healthy. Time never came into milk, I think it was every ounce of strength in her to carry them to term. 2 healthy beautiful doe kids! Time fully recovered and is fat and sassy as ever again! Both girls are absolutely stunning, and very retained.
